Welcome

Rosalie Tran, WIPA member from Hong Kong, presents gifts to a girl in the Spring Bud Project classroom in China.  More than 250 girls have benefited from WIPA's involvement in this project over a decade (see more under the “Making a Difference” section).

Women for International Peace and Arbitration was founded on the belief that women have a vital role to play in the establishment of peace in our communities, our countries and in the world.  In fact, it is based on the understanding that only when women take their rightful place in the various fields of human endeavor, can lasting peace be achieved.

WIPA has a long history of working in association with women and men from many countries in helping women, and especially girl children, to learn about and take steps to assume their role as co-partners with men to advance civilization.  Education is a key to this achievement.

WIPA promotes the ideal of peaceful methods of conflict resolution, including consultation and mediation.  Further ideals can be found in our "Keys to Peace" series under the Articles tab.

A non-governmental organization, WIPA has been associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information for more than two decades.
