A non-profit public benefit educational corporation that is organized to channel the rising public sentiment for peaceful settlement of international disputes.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PEACE ORGANIZATIONS?

It emphasizes matching material strength with spiritual development in the attainment of peace.  It uses education and reason rather than coercion and force.  It avoids partisan politics.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Any woman or man who agrees with these concepts and purposes.

WHY THE EMPHASIS ON WOMEN?

The largest untapped source of strength is the collective potential of women.  When women achieve equality and full access to decision making, they will not tolerate war.  Although the emphasis is on women, partnership between women and men is required to promote a sustainable, peaceful environment.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Hold seminars to promote mediation and arbitration as a means of dispute resolution, meetings for the encouragement of women to attain their highest potential, whether in the home, in motherhood, in career, or in combination.  Hold seminars and meetings to educate women to their potential as  instruments of achieving global and permanent peace and education of children in the abolition of prejudice, equality of men and women, encouraging scholarship in international peace and the need for a universal auxiliary language.
 TODAY THE SURVIVAL OF HUMANITY RESTS UPON THE INDIVIDUALS INITIATIVE AND RESPONSIBILITY IN BRINGING ABOUT PEACE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.  EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS THE CAPABILITY OF BRINGING INTO FRUITION A PEACEFUL , HARMONIOUS ATMOSPHERE.  EACH PERSON CAN DIFFUSE THE NECESSARY COMPONENTS OF A PEACEFUL EXISTENCE TO THE LARGER COMMUNITY AND EVENTUALLY THE WORLD.  WOMEN FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND ARBITRATION HAS AS ITS CHIEF OBJECTIVE THE REALIZATION OF PEACE AND ARBITRATION IN THE WORLD AS BEING AN APPROACHABLE ATTAINABLE GOAL. 

BY CONNECTING EACH INDIVIDUAL WITH WIPA, A CREATIVE PROCESS WILL BE SET INTO MOTION.  THIS PROCESS WILL ALLOW WOMEN AND MEN TO EXPRESS A WORLD CONSCIOUSNESS WITH THE PRIMARY HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE AND THEN TO MAKE SENSIBLE DECISIONS CONCERNING OUR HUMAN DESTINY.

THE INTERACTION AND INTERCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN PEOPLES MAKE URGENT THE NEED FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF CHAPTERS AND MEMBERSHIP IN, WOMEN FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND ARBITRATION.
