As always, a big shout out to our members that have made the news. Below you’ll find members that have been highlighted or otherwise recognized. Thank you to those that submitted news this month and thank you to our members that continue to push the outside of the envelope in some way.

Jeff and Patti Falconer, owners of Parties on the Terrace venue in the Seattle area, won Washington Wedding Day magazine’s Best Intimate Venue 2024!

They have been members of WIPA Seattle for two years and are in their fourth wedding season. They are humbled and honored with this recognition and continue to learn and grow from every event they host and WIPA meeting they attend. They are appreciative of the warm embrace from the wedding vendor community and are looking forward to what’s to come in 2025 and beyond.

Shani Gailbreath, destination hair and makeup artist, WIPA Nashville Founding President, and owner of the hair and makeup team, Canvas and Coif, serving Middle Tennessee, has launched a new business to help support the hair and makeup community. The Artist Association is a member-based community network for hair and makeup artists to hone their network, share jobs, and find community all over the world. Having dedicated numerous years to the luxury wedding industry, Shani identified a significant demand for establishing connections with artists worldwide to recruit associate artists in different markets. With a focus on destination beauty, Shani recognized the necessity for vetted, trustworthy, and skilled artists in cities across the globe.

Friar Tux was on a chic roll recently with their dazzling features in some major publications. First, this dreamy Timeless Italian-inspired Wedding Inspiration at Sunstone Villa on 100 Layer Cake, where the vibes were Italian, and the style was Friar Tux! The groom donned a timeless Black Peak Lapel Performance Tuxedo by Michael Kors with traditional black-tie accessories and a magical floral boutonnière. The next feature was this Modern Luxury in the Wild at the Heritage Fallbrook at Welburn Farms in Style Me Pretty. This wedding blended organic details with a modern-neutral color story, with the groom in a Black Notch Lapel Performance Tuxedo by Michael Kors. Lastly, this ethereal romantic moment where a Real Elopement Offers Intimate and Stylized Options for Wedding Celebrations on California Wedding Day. This elopement shows that having a smaller wedding does not mean less opulence or style! That you truly can have it all: décor, catering, dramatic surroundings, fashion…and still have an intimate elopement. The groom kept with the soft garden vibes by wearing Friar Tux’s Tan Notch Lapel Suit.
