Amanda Holder Events is a 4x winner of Best Wedding Planner in the San Luis Obispo Region by industry leader, California Wedding Day Magazine, and in 2024, Amanda took over as Publisher.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno, she began her career with positions in marketing, public relations, event planning and corporate communications. In both the private and public sectors she worked for the PGA and LPGA Tours, IMG Worldwide, NBC television, CBS television and REC Solar.
In 2013, Amanda took the leap and started her own event and wedding planning business, based in San Luis Obispo, California, serving clients all over the state. Her company, Amanda Holder Events, LLC, specializes in event and event design, planning and management.
Amanda and two industry friends founded The Wedding Space in 2015, a collaborative workspace for women in the wedding industry, which still operates today and has fostered the growth of many successful female-owned businesses over the years. Also in 2015, Amanda and four other industry friends founded the SLO Wedding Planners, a group of individual wedding planners in the area whose mission it was to lift each other up, and elevate the local wedding planning industry.
Along with being active in the community and serving on multiple boards (NACE Central Coast and SLO Chamber Ambassadors), she is also a graduate of Class 23 of the Leadership SLO program, an advisor for the active chapter of her fraternity, Kappa Alpha Theta at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is active in numerous other organizations.
