March Video Message From SFBA President, Kristen Seaholm

Hello everyone and happy March! Kristen Seaholm here, you’re San Francisco Bay Area WIPA President, serving the greater Northern California region. Happy to be back for another round of updates so let’s jump right in.

As we begin to see counties moving into the red tier, there is a shining glimmer of hope on the horizon for events to make their way back. This is a potentially exciting time for us all, but not without some apprehensions. So, as we continue along, ensure that you and your fellow colleagues are being as vigilant as ever in following safety protocols and being a part of the solution. And remember, we are all going to be re-opening our businesses at different speeds so don’t let someone else’s hurry pressure you to do the same. Listen to your heart and your gut and follow your own path. And don’t forget that we are all in this together.

On behalf of the San Francisco Bay Area Board, we wanted to send a huge thank you to everyone that was able to join us in our February events where we had a very informational webinar all about taxes followed by a fantastic Icebreaker Networking event. And make sure you scroll through the newsletter below to learn more about our upcoming March webinar, with WIPA NY’s very own Elizabeth Priya Kumar, of Primini Events. You certainly won’t want to miss this free webinar open to all.

Additionally, be sure to check out Diana’s favorite throwback educational video for March, an exclusive WIPA membership perk. As you know, education is one of WIPA’s most important entities and our Membership Library is filled with amazing past educational videos from across all chapters. A true gold mine for sure.

I am equally excited to have you check out Chanda’s favorite D&I Speaker to follow throughout the month of March. This month she is introducing Dr. Jonathan P Higgins, who is a Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion expert with quite the resume…

Heading into Covid Safety, Maggie has some incredibly exciting news to be sharing with you all, so be sure to check out all of the updates on the horizon, including a very exciting new series she is launching. We cannot wait to have you all join!

Now, for one of my favorite pieces of the newsletter, it’s time for our Member Spotlight! Kimberly Patten, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager of Metro Events, is a true collaborator and go-getter. Learn more about Kimberley and Metro Events below and if you haven’t filled out our Member Spotlight survey yet, please do! We would love love LOVE to highlight you and your fabulous business.

Lastly, I couldn’t be any more excited to share with you all that the WIPA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is officially launching a quarterly #WIPAWIN Instagram Contest! All the details are below as well as will be announced via Instagram later this week but let’s just say that the quarterly winners will enjoy some stellar new wipa swag and the grand prize winner will win a free WIPA membership renewal valued at $300. We love seeing you post about all the amazing work you have going on and we really want to help be a platform that helps promote you as well. This contest will officially kick off April 1st so be sure to check out all the details below and keep a look out via Instagram for more.

And, if you aren’t already, please make sure you’re following and engaging with us through our social channels IG: @wipasf FB: and we thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with us through this month’s newsletter. We look forward to catching up with you again next time!
