Jeffrey Selden, Managing Partner of Marcia Selden Catering & Events, has played a pivotal role in the company’s recognition as a leader in the catering industry. Under his leadership, the company was honored with the prestigious Caterer of the Year award at the 2025 CATIE Awards, presented by the International Caterers Association during the Catersource Conference & Tradeshow in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Marcia Selden Catering, a family-run business servicing New York and Connecticut, has a rich history spanning over 45 years. Founded by matriarch Marcia Selden, the company is now co-led by her children, Jeffrey and Robin Selden. The team is renowned for creating inclusive, memorable feasts for various celebrations, matched with polished, personalized service that makes everyone feel like part of the family.
Jeffrey’s extensive background in luxury event planning, honed at some of the country’s most exclusive hotels, including The St. Regis, The Pierre, and The New York Palace, contributes to the company’s success. He currently oversees operations and sales for the multimillion-dollar company, which orchestrates over 850 events annually. Jeffrey is currently the National Director of Sponsorship for WIPA.
The Caterer of the Year award recognizes the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the catering industry. With offices in New York City and a reputation as the “It” caterer of Connecticut, Marcia Selden Catering continues to set the standard for luxury catering services.
Friar Tux continues to redefine modern wedding fashion, earning standout features in Atlanta Style Weddings and Style Me Pretty. In Atlanta Style Weddings, the groom made a statement in our Olive Green Prado Suit, bringing a fresh, fashion-forward take to classic wedding style. The rich, earthy tone offered a perfect balance of sophistication and modern flair, proving that grooms can embrace color while keeping their look timeless. Meanwhile, in Style Me Pretty, Friar Tux brought polished elegance to a breathtaking fall wedding in Sonoma. The groom wore our sleek Black Lorenzo Tuxedo, a striking choice that elevated the romantic aesthetic with its modern tailoring and refined charm. With a dedication to accessible, stylish suits and tuxedos, Friar Tux remains a trusted name for wedding parties looking to make a lasting impression.
