WIPA Philadelphia Mastermind 2025

WIPA Philadelphia Mastermind 2025

The Visionary Forum for Leaders and Disrupters Redefining Success

WIPA Philadelphia Chapter

On April 7th, 2025, WIPA Philadelphia hosted its second annual Mastermind event, bringing together a vibrant group of event professionals for a full day focused on education, inspiration, and community. With 245 attendees, the event was both a logistical and financial success, and it delivered meaningful impact for our members and the industry at large.

The day began with a high-energy networking breakfast attended by all guests. Conversations flowed easily as attendees reconnected and made new contacts over coffee and light fare. From there, the group moved into the main portion of the event, which included a keynote presentation, a main stage panel, and four distinct breakout sessions.

The mastermind education sessions through WIPA Philadelphia have truly elevated my business mindset. Steve Moore’s insights were absolutely next-level—he has a way of making complex ideas feel approachable and actionable. The educational panels and networking were both incredibly valuable.

Steve Moore opened Mastermind with a bold and inspiring keynote titled The Odyssey of Success.” His message challenged attendees to move beyond traditional definitions of achievement and instead embrace a more personal, purpose-driven path he discovered while on a recent sabbatical. With honesty and clarity, Steve spoke about the risks and rewards of choosing innovation over convention, urging creative professionals to reimagine what success looks like in their own lives and businesses. His words set a powerful tone for the day, energizing the room and reminding everyone that true growth often begins where comfort ends.

A Main Stage Panel followed complete with five business wedding entrepreneurs, Brittany Lo, Malike Adijun, Kathy Romero, Jose Rolon and Kat Turner, who further explored how their vision of success changed over the years. They shared stories of they navigated defining what success meant to each of them and how they knew when it was time to reevaluate.

To encourage deeper conversation, lunch seating was assigned strategically to help guests make meaningful new connections and a Meet The Media area was set-up for guests to mix and mingle with local media from Philadelphia Wedding, Modern Luxury, The Knot, and Munaluchi Bridal Magazine.

WIPA Philly’s mastermind events are unmatched! The panel discussions gave me so many practical takeaways. I feel like I got just as much out of this as I would have for a multi-day conference as a much higher price point. The networking was the cherry on top—real connections with fellow professionals who get it.

During the afternoon breakout sessions, guests were able to explore a wide range of topics. These included financial investment strategy, legal protections for business owners, branding and marketing, breaking into the industry, scaling with purpose, and the importance of networking. The programming reflected a strong focus on professional growth, practical takeaways, and thought leadership.

The event concluded with a Cocktail Hour, giving attendees a chance to unwind and reflect on the day with peers.

Attendees consistently shared positive feedback. Many praised the depth of the educational content, the quality of the speakers, and the welcoming energy throughout the day. The grant allowed our chapter to fully cover all speaker costs and travel to bring high level speakers directly to our members in Philadelphia.

On social media, the event received strong visibility. Our Instagram featured more than eight recap posts from our marketing team, and the newly formed (as of 2025) Pic-Time gallery of professional photos included 1,354 images with over 400 unique views.

Now in its second year, the Mastermind format has proven to be a valuable and profitable educational event for our chapter. The combination of strong content, strategic networking, and inclusive programming has made a lasting impression. We are excited to build on this success and continue offering impactful experiences for our Philadelphia community.

I’ve attended a lot of industry events, but WIPA Philadelphia’s mastermind education stands out. The keynote was brilliant—thoughtful, creative, and completely authentic. The panels were packed with useful insights I didn't know I needed, and the networking gave me the time to connect with others and digest what we had learned during the panels.
