 Indian Wedding Trends

WIPA Atlanta had an amazing meeting on November 1st at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta with presenter Therese Cole-Hubbs of Electric Karma International educating us on new trends in Indian Weddings. Thank you to our meeting sponsors! The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta provided a beautiful space and some of the best food we've had. Utopian Events transformed the ballroom with gorgeous colors and textures. Paper Daisies Stationery provided the finishing touch with colorful programs and name tags. The Historic Essence of Events 


On October 11th, WIPA NYC joined forces with ILEA NY Metro to welcome the new Ziegfeld Ballroom.  It was a spectacular night with delectable food, dreamy decor and electrifying entertainment. Lindsay Landman of Lindsay Landman Events moderated a panel consisting of James Munz of Ziegfeld Ballroom, Carl Bambina of Highstyle Rental, Hank Lane of Hank Lane Music+Productions, Diana Gould of Diana Gould LTD., Samantha Goldman of Alpine Creative Group and David Hechler of David Hechler Photographers. Proof of the Pudding, Atlanta’s second largest catering and food service management company, has officially relocated its headquarters, at 2033 Monroe Drive NE to Complex, a new West Midtown adaptive reuse project. The industrial chic 31,000-square-foot facility in the Complex development along Chattahoochee Avenue will feature a state-of-the-art kitchen, rooftop garden, two tasting showrooms and more!

 Proof of the Pudding has recently hired Melissa Loy as the new Operations Manager and Sean Calhoun as Warehouse Manager for their Off-Premise Division.

Executive Chef Vagn Nielsen of Proof of the Pudding was a keynote speaker for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home’s Annual Fundraiser. OLPHH is a skilled nursing facility operated by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne dedicated to providing palliative care to persons afflicted with incurable cancer.  The home, supported solely by voluntary donations from the public, is a free home for those who cannot afford to pay for needed care. Chef Vagn was honored to be a part of the event and has been involved with the organization for more than 10 years.

Kim Sayatovic of Belladeux Event Design will be presenting at this years The Special Event in New Orleans on the topic of, Experiential Catering. She was also featured on Social Tables with her article, Journey Mapping: 5 Key Tips to Determine the Right Event Experience.  

Kevin Dennis of WeddingIQ was recently announced as a speaker for The Special Event this January in New Orleans. He'll be discussing the Top Tech Apps for Your Business, and sitting on a masters panel of event experts giving advice to rising stars in the industry. Kevin was also recently featured on Catersource with his article, Growing Your B2B. 

Meghan Ely of OFD Consulting will be traveling to Hilton Head this December for the Be Sage Conference, where she will be sharing insight on Storytelling and PR. She was also recently featured in two MarketWatch articles talking about wedding insurance and the nonconformist bride

Emily Sullivan of Emily Sullivan Events discussed the rising trend of Micro Weddings with How Stuff Works, as well as shared insight with WeddingWire on the ins and outs of postponing a wedding due to bad weather. 
Undercover Live Entertainment recently announced that all 3 of its premier bands are now performing at Downtown Disney.   They also supplied this years entertainment Ceremony Magazine's Vendor appreciation party held at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach on September 14th, 2017.
Kismet Event Design was featured on the cover of South Asian Bridal Magazine with client stories inside. The team has expanded and brought on two new members to the team. Alejandra Viana and Ebony Winski. Office expansion planned for the end of the year.
Phillip Van Nostrand Photography was featured on for Breanna and Austin’s intimate New York City brunch wedding. He was also a guest on the Sprouting Photographer Podcast where he shared insight on how he created a passive income with La Rousse Shoppe.

WIPA Las Vegas was thrilled and honored to march in the Las Vegas Pride Parade on October 20th. Showing support for marriage equality, WIPA board members managed to pull together a banner, shirts, balloons and faux veils in just 8 days to represent the wedding industry. Everyone had a blast and left brimming with ideas to include the parade in the WIPA annual calendar with the flair next year that only WIPA members can bring!

2017 has been a very exciting, successful year for Design Visage -- with over 500 weddings booked, we are very fortunate to have worked with so many incredible brides, vendors, and planners over the course of the year. Our incredible DV management team has also expanded to a family of 3, with 39 talented makeup artists on board (and growing). We are truly blessed every day with our Design Visage family and our amazing friendors. 

Design Visage’s bride was featured in Style Me Pretty, showcasing the bride's tropical, multicultural wedding, with our beyond incredible makeup and hair team! Payal and her ladies were an absolute dream for us to work with and get gorgeous! 

Southern California Bride featured a picturesque, Tuscan bridal style shoot with Confetti Skies and Design Visage. The gorgeous warm tones were a perfect backdrop for the incoming autumn season. 

Lastly, Borrowed and Blue featured Design Visage bride and model Cindy, with gorgeous hair and makeup for the winter-themed Pine Rose Shoot in Big Bear. This feature highlighted Cindy’s flowing hair extensions, rose gold and pewter makeup, and a rustic flower crown -- all of which are current beauty trends of this year. 

Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa is pleased to announce the addition of Teagan Tudor, Catering Sales Manager, to the Omni team. With years in the hospitality and wedding sector, Teagan joined the Omni Scottsdale from the Hotel Valley Ho where she was a catering sales manager. Prior to her move to Scottsdale, Arizona Teagan resided in Sedona, Arizona when working at L’Auberge in their catering and events department.

 On November 2nd, 2017 Vibiana hosted the Weingart Gala. The Weingart Center is a non-profit organization that dedicates itself to empowering and transforming lives within the community. Vibiana owners Amy Knoll Fraser and Chef Neal Fraser will be honored at the gala for their leadership and dedication to this well deserving cause.

Vibiana was featured in Grace Ormonde for the "La Boheme" design created by Nahid’s Global Events and Square Root Designs for the Luxe Launch 2017.
