On Tuesday, November 17, Michelle Rago is throwing open the doors to Chez Rago. Consider yourselves invited.

Off the Record is an evening created with Michelle and WIPA Philadelphia around a fairly simple idea: the best way to understand a memorable experience is to actually have one. So rather than another evening spent politely listening from your seat, Michelle has planned something for you to move through.

Michelle will lead you through three acts across the evening—part host, part guide, part educator, and entirely herself. What happens in each? Lovely question. Show up and find out.

A few surprise guests will be joining her along the way. Miss them, and you’ll be hearing about it secondhand for years. Tricky.

Now, about your phone.
For five glorious hours, we’re asking you to be where your feet are. Phone cameras will be covered with secure stickers upon arrival. No photos. No videos. No Stories. Nothing to post before you’ve even had the chance to enjoy it. In true Rago fashion: don’t make it weird. What happens at Chez Rago stays at Chez Rago. At least for the evening.

Style Guide
Attire direction by CLG Creative to be unveiled on Instagram in the coming days. Dress for dinner. Leave room for a change in tempo. A little polish, a little personality, and enough ease for whatever the evening has up its sleeve.

A Note From the Kitchen
Michelle and the culinary team have put together what she would call a nearly perfect menu, and we suggest you let them have their moment. If you have a genuine allergy or dietary requirement (the EpiPen, celiac, serious-stuff variety) please tell us when registering and we’ll happily take care of you. If we’re talking about a preference, an aversion, or your current relationship with oat milk, lovingly: don’t make it weird.
